The hotel had a beautiful building and an authentic English feel. I appreciated this a lot. The landscape was pleasant. My family enjoyed long walks. Our suite included a separate bedroom for my teenage daughter. the stay was very comfortable.

The carpets and decor looked a bit tired and dated!

the building possesses rich history and maintains its originality. staff members offered helpful service consistently. food preparation was well executed, also representing good value.

the steam room was inoperative and this information was not communicated in advance. water refill stations remained empty frequently. i noticed a limited number of loungers were available near the pools.

The room showed some signs of wear. I saw mould on the windows, something that really bothered me. the staff seemed a little stretched. Getting a simple drinks order took an unreasonably long time. I felt the price of the food did not quite match its quality.

The building is beautiful. Gardens are fine. I enjoyed the gorgeous dining room. The spa was fab. Food was really nice (I mean, REALLY nice). Some of the staff were pretty good too meet our needs. We had a facial and it was excellent, staff very friendly. All the facilities are easy to find.

The inside cleanliness was acceptable for such an old building but the windows in some areas could not be seen through due to filth and cobwebs.

The hotel sits right on the outskirts of town. It is only a 5 minute drive from the hotel to the town centre, yet it feels miles away because of the hotel grounds. It is very peaceful.

Breakfast includes both continental and cooked options. The dining room offers exquisite views during dinner. The bar area serves good pizza. This is a great option if you just want to relax at the hotel.
